Obituary
Margaret Ann Taylor “Peggy”, 93 of Newark, formerly of New York passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Seasons Hospice.
Peggy was born in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Mary (McDonnell) and Joseph McAllister. She did modeling in her early years and worked for over 20 years as a secretary for the Nassau County Medical Center. Peggy enjoyed dressing up and dining and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus in New York.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her husband, John J. Taylor in 2014 and her siblings, Theresa, Evelyn and Larry.
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Aine Taylor of Newark, DE; her nieces and their husbands, Deidre and Carmine Ciccolella and their sons Jack and Luke, Margaret and Rick Cullember, Nancy and Doug Barnett and her nephew, Larry McCallister and his wife, Cheryl.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM with a short service beginning at 7:30 PM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Visitation will also be held at Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road Bethpage, NY from 9 to 10 AM on Friday morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Levittown, 3100 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY 11756. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
