My fondest memories of Aunt Rita was visiting her at the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration throughout the years. Aunt Rita and the sisters were always so welcoming to our large family. We loved the tour of the book binding office, altar bread making, candle making and all the crafts the sister could make. I've always enjoyed Aunt Rita's photography. Aunt Rita sent me letters on cards with photos she had taken. I've framed several of them. I love you, Aunt Rita.

I love Aunt Rita. She was such a special person/saint! I will never forget all her sacrifices to help care for mom and dad (her sister Beverly and husband Marvin) in Iowa. She was always a joy to be around. She brought life and fun to every event she attended. I'm sure the family is wrapping their arms around her -- now that she's in her forever home - Heaven.

Arriving at OLOG in 1999, Rita and I met on the convent pathway and began a conversation that grew into a wonderful, beautiful friendship for 22 years. The memories of our adventures, our travels, choir events, walks at Rita's beloved ocean, hours of photographing nature, vising her Benedictine Sisters in Clyde, and so much more. Such a privilege to walk with Rita especially in these last six years of her life- her gentle nature and beautiful smile always prevailed. Friends forever! With love always. Suzanne

Rita was my youngest aunt, and I loved visiting her. I know she had to go, and it's for the best, but I'll miss her lovely smile and sense of fun terrible. Love you, Rita.
