Obituary of Frances McConnell

McConnell- Frances of West Islip, LI, on November 25, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. McConnell. Loving mother of Donald (Suzanne) McConnell, Catherine (Marty Cawley) McConnell and Christine (Blaise) Rogovich. Cherished grandmother of seven. Adored great-grandmother of Conrad. Dear sister of Angelo DeMeo. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Frances was a gifted artist, fantastic mother and homemaker devoted to her family above all else. While working at New York TRACON HQ she enrolled in college in her later years obtaining a Bachelors Degree from Queens College. She lived a good life full of love and good works which is an example we will carry with us always. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, Tuesday 9:30 AM, at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, West Islip, LI. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. Visiting Monday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bayard Cutting Arboretum, P. O.
