Our Hearts are broken as we announce the passing of Donald J. Horne Sr., originally of Jackson Heights, Queens, Donald proudly served the NYFD for 24 years before retiring as a Captain. Donald led a very full life at the service of many family and friends in his remaining years. Many would exclaim, “Donald you’re a Saint!”. Well here he comes Lord…to serve, to help, to teach, to love and to laugh with. Donald is survived by, his much beloved wife, Patricia, his adoring children; Patrick (Luanne), Elizabeth (Rob), Donald (Donna), Dennis, Lorraine and Jennifer (Rich). Donald’s greatest pride was his 17 grandchildren; Rob, Talia, Danny, Angelica, Kierstyn, Jessica, Matt, Timmy, Steven, Michael, AJ, Lindsey, Lainie, Donald, Anna, Alex, and Evan. He also cherished his 3 Great Grandchildren; Michaela, Jaxon and Layla. His presence may be gone but his legacy will last generations.
