Obituary of Sergeant Chad J. Germain

Germain – Chad Joseph., of Hicksville, L.I., on November 18, 2016. Beloved son of Michael F. Germain and Elizabeth J. Germain. Dear brother of Scott Harrison Germain (Patti) and Michele Lynne Vice (Jon). Cherished lifelong friend of Daniel Patrick McCarthy. Devoted uncle of Nicole, Allison, Michael, and Kathryn. Sergeant Chad Germain was a thirteen year veteran of the Hempstead PD Patrol Division as well as a veteran of the USMC (Operation Delta Shield). Sgt. Germain was a highly decorated police officer who followed in the footsteps of his father Sgt. Michael Germain, Old Westbury Police Department (retired). Chad was loved and adored by many. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1 mile north of southern State Parkway, Exit 29). A religious service will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, evening. Visitation Tuesday from 2:00-4:30 P.M. and 7:00-9:30 P.M.
