DeMAILLE - Leon passed peacefully on August 15, 2021 in his 80th year. Loving son of Leon and Catherine. Loving husband to Rose Marie. Devoted father to Leon, Kevin, Gregory and Eric, and daughters-in-law Carmen and Maria. Adored grandfather to Casey, Kevin, Jr., Chase, Cole, Bryce, Eric, Jr. and Chelsea. Leon was a supervisor at Lufthansa Airlines for 30 years where he made lifelong friendships. A dedicated family man and avid sports fan he never missed a chance to be on the sidelines to cheer on his boys, and grandchildren. His passion for Lionel trains will always live on under DeMaille Christmas trees. He was a kind man who loved everyone he met and made sure they felt it with his signature greeting “Hello my friend!”. Humor and wit were his superpowers. If you knew Leon, you knew laughter. Above all, he was a man of deep faith whose life was an example of God’s unconditional love. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11AM at Our Lady of Grace, 700 Albin Ave, West Babylon.
