Catherine Ranieri Ornas June 8, 1925 - August 4, 2021 Catherine Ranieri Ornas passed August 4, 2021, surrounded by family and friends at her Chelsea residence in Manalapan, NJ. She recently celebrated her 96th birthday with her family and many friends at the Chelsea. Catherine was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, to Matteo and Natalina (Tedesco) Ranieri, and her older brother Frank Ranieri. She lost her mother at a very young age and she and her brother were raised by their loving "Papa" and extended family. They later moved to Massapequa, LI. Later in life, Catherine met her husband "Eddie" (Edward Ornas). Catherine was a loving caregiver to many in her life and in her later years, she moved to Chelsea Assisted Living in Manalapan, NJ, to be close by to her nephew and where she was much loved and cared for by family, staff and residents. Catherine was a ray of sunshine to all spreading smiles and sharing humor. Catherine is survived by her nieces and nephews: Matthew & Marianne Ranieri; Natalie & Frank DeNicola; Godchild Linda Schwier and Charles; and Francine Cohen. Catherine was pre-deceased by her parents, brother Frank and sister-in-law Lucy Ranieri and her husband Edward Ornas
