My heartfelt condolences to Ellen, Jeff and Erin. I haven't seen Dennis in so many years but remember how Ellen and Dennis fell in love in their teens. I was honored to call them both my friends and even more honored to be a member of their wedding party as it was a beautiful and meaningful day. for all. Our lives and locations went in different directions but was thrilled to reconnect with Ellen, follow the joy she always expressed in her teaching career, the love she always had for Dennis and he for her, as well as their shared love of their beautiful children. It truly is a wonderful and rare love story. As sad as I am to hear of his passing, I will always think of his smile, his artistic and creative talent and his love for Ellen and his family. I wish them all peace and happy memories. Jeanine

We will remember Dennis foremost as a loving husband to Ellen and a caring father to both Jeff and Erin. He told us numerous stories of his camping experiences with them and the fun they shared in Upstate New York. He also loved to tell us about his years with Jeff with the Boy Scouts. Erin will always be “His Little Girl”. He was so proud of both of them. Dennis was also a hard worker and could fix just about anything or he would die trying. His love of nature was infectious and we enjoyed spending time with him outdoors fishing and hunting. He fished with our grandchildren at the lake and though they didn’t always catch fish he entertained them with his funny stories. Whenever we see a bald eagle we will look up to the heavens with a twinkle in our eyes and a smile on our faces and we will remember him. Our hearts are heavy as we have lost a beloved brother-in-law and great friend. We pray for the time when Ellen, Jeff and Erin will no longer have a tear come to their eyes when they hear his name but rather a smile comes to their faces. Rest In Peace. With Heartfelt Sympathy and Love Larry and Janet

Uncle Dennis was truly a one of a kind guy. His love of nature, tinkering, and his pride in his family is what I will miss about him. Dennis had a great dry sense of humor and he had the best stories. He was unassuming and kind and loved teasing my kids and taking time to try and fix their toys. His love and pride in his family and how well he loved Ellen will always be remembered. We are so broken-hearted that he is gone and will continue to pray for Ellen, Jeff and Erin that the memories of Dennis will eventually bring smiles and not tears and that God will comfort them and turn his face toward them and bring them peace.
Much love and hugs
Laura, Brad, Brynn and Cole Currey
