I was a friend starting as a Shiatsu Therapist to Dorothy when she lived on East 84th street in Manhattan, for at least 4 years.
I was and still am a painter at the time painting Energy works in Oil on linen, Dorothy came to visit me at my home and studio she saw a painting I had just finished which she said I see Fireworks clearly. On the back of the painting, I saw what I had written while she was visiting.
Years have passed since then.
An hour ago, I looked at the back of the painting and noticed the writing on the back saying: Named by Dorothy.
Looking for her name on Google, I saw to my great dismay that she left the planet. I am so very sorry to learn of this.

Dorothy lived with me in the Lewis and Clark Dorm at the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1969.
She was a poet…most likely an English major. I was pre-Journalism. I remember her generous spirit.
She was a friend to my then fiancé, Richard Eugene Hardwick. She used to borrow his bicycle. Eugene lived in the same dorm as well. I have just learned of her death and am saddened as we lost touch after college.
I often thought of her. Zola Hardwick….zmhardwick@gmail.com

May you rest in peace Dorothy. I hope you and your dad are back together having a gin and tonic.. Thanks for always ending our sessions with an air hug - they always made me smile. Thanks for working with me even when you didn't want to. I was so proud of you when you made it outside and your were able to sit and get some sun and fresh air. I always knew you could do it!!! Thanks for being one of my all time favorites.
Fondly,
Debra
