It took me a while to build up the strength to write something. To my dear Aunt Margaret, the world will not be the same without you. You played such a pivotal role in so many lives; the glue that kept everyone together. The past few weeks have been tough (to say the least) but as your nephew put it, I hope you are somewhere in paradise. Aunt Margaret, words cannot describe how much I miss you, and how tough this is. I will cherish every memory of you, and live each day to make you proud. I love you with all my being.
Love always,
Rachel.

Margaret was a beacon of love and hope and peace to so many people including me. She is closely tied to my first memories of joining St. Mary's Parish in 1980. She was there to help me when my mother became seriously ill. I have always told her she was an angel to me and very holy. I know heaven danced for joy when she came home.

Heartfelt condolences to Jim and her entire family. Her nephew Daniel has expressed sentiments so beautiful, I could never match them. I will add only that Margaret was a remarkable woman and one that I will never forget, and I will treasure the memory of having known her for as long as I shall live.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Jim and all of Margarets family.
We met many years ago as nurses in Home Care and shared ministry together at St. Marys. When support and guidance was needed Margaret was the person to go to. Her wealth of knowledge never ceased to amaze me. Her eyes were always aglow with wisdom though her body was frail. She truly did God's work here on Earth.
May our Dear Lord keep you all in his comforting embrace as Margaret enters into her reward in Heaven!

Even though we only knew Margaret a short time and only through LIAS, she made a definate impression on us and we will never forget what a kind and caring person she was. Margaret was a beautiful soul and we're saddened we didn't get to know her longer. Bless you Margaret and your famliy and loved one's during this terribly difficult time.

My Aunt Margaret passed away on Tuesday, and I've struggled to find a way to say goodbye to her living presence. What is it that I'll miss the most? I wondered as I wandered around in the hot sun. The Only Answer That Seemed Truthful when I woke up this morning was "I Lost a Pillar of Support."
Frankly, I initially WANTED to be Even More selfish and Title this piece "I Lost a Fan." For example, in the Last Months of Covid Lockdown Restrictions in the United States: I Wrote My First Unrequited Love Poem as a (more or less) Mature Adult. I'm sure it was confusing how I'd developed such strong feelings for someone I'd only spoken to through video chat, text, and the Many forms of Social Media. Yet Aunt Margaret Loved The Poem, and she Found a Way to Read It: Even if her Body Ached, she Couldn't Turn Her Head and Suffered from So Many Debilitating Conditions that All of Us would have buckled to them Years Ago. Margaret was always like that: Even as her health continually declined, she rarely asked for help and was Always Looking to Help Us.
More than anyone in my family, Aunt Margaret has tolerated my brokenness, my depression, my unemployment, and my pain of having back issues from such a young age. All She wanted was to Help, and She Did A Lot To Support me Throughout my 14 Years of Struggle with these issues
Even though I'm happy, more healthy, and I even have a writing contract: I really wanted to give back to my Aunt Margaret, and I never felt like I could do half of what she's done for me. And ultimately, the only true thing I can write is that I've Lost a Pillar of Support. Margaret continued to support Everyone in her life as her Body could barely support her. I Admire Her For That, but I just wanted her to ask for help towards the End.
Margaret Peterson has been A Pillar of Support for so many people. She rarely asked for anything. Yet, she often found a way to help everyone who presented her with an issue. As I wandered in the park yesterday, in the heat of the sun, I tried to come to an understanding of my grief. And my conclusion came in to form of Actual Signs:
- On July 4, 2021, all I could feel was Irony: Aunt Margaret was not free, and Yet there were Fireworks. On July 6, 2021, Margaret Passed Away. Yesterday, July 7, I Encountered a Sign at the Connetquot River. The Sign said "Paradise Island." I Decided to Go there: but I Couldn't, as there were Eagles Nesting in the Area, and Another Sign told me the Island was for this New Life. I decided to go to the Dahlia Garden, but on the Way, I spotted what looked and sounded like Another Mother Eagle, Circling and Squaking away, Protecting the Territory of its Nest, on a high up perch.
I got the message. Margaret never had any biological children: but she was a mother figure to many. I think wherever she's going: it's Paradise compared to the Pain she's had to struggle with these past years. Margeret, you deserve to be free and Still Continue to be Motherly, as you always have been for me and many others.
