Harsch, Robert John, of West Islip, LI, on November 12, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Lucille. Devoted father of William (Dawn) and Kenneth (Laura). Cherished grandfather of Jason, Christopher, Tyler and Nicholas. Dear brother of George. Robert was a proud United States Air Force Veteran, achieved the rank of Lieutenant in the Suffolk County Police Department and was a member of the Babylon Masonic Lodge # 793. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Tuesday 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, West Islip, LI. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, LI. Visiting Monday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 75 Davids Drive, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
