Jean worked with me and my co-worker, Jo, for many years in midtown Manhattan. Jean had a wonderful spirit and energy that she brought to work with her every day. She was more like a mother to us in the office and really looked out for us and cared about us. Every year on her wedding anniversary, she'd bring her wedding album to the office and share that special day with us. She loved Al and always said what a handsome man she married. She was so proud of her children MarkAnthony and Barbara and when her grandchildren were born, she was always showing us their school pictures and giving us an update on their lives. When Jean retired from working in the city, she'd come and have lunch with Jo and I every summer. Al would drive her to the bus station and she'd make the trip in. She did it for a number of years, and we so enjoyed seeing her and would say what a trouper she was for making the trip. She had a social calendar like you wouldn't believe, and we always marveled at how much she did. Jo and I will miss you so much Jean. The last time we saw you was at Al's funeral. Rest in peace our dear friend. We love you.
