Please accept our deepest sympathies for the loss of a wonderful human being and your beloved, Billy Nast.
My husband and I just learned of Billy Nast passing today (May 20, 2021) from Bobby Belli - who was doing the first day of volunteer work with my husband (cleaning around the waterways of Freeport, NY).
I have not seen Billy Nast since I was a young teenager. My older sister, Barbara Ippolito, dated & married Billy Stone, who lived one or 2 doors away from Billy Nast - on the same side of Alameda Avenue and in the same style house, We met Billy Nast's through Billy & George Stone from Alameda Avenue in Arverne. I recall that Billy Nast had a huge and famous record collection. He proudly entertained and dazzled the neighborhood kids with his music collection and special equipment. We were all in awe by his technical abilities (that were amazing during the 1960s - along with his jumbo speakers).
Although I was about 5 years younger than Billy Nast, what I recall the most about Billy was that he was such a kind and sweet person who left such a warm impression upon me. We are so sorry very for your loss!!
May God Bless Billy Nast and keep him close. May God also comfort Billy's family and loved ones for their loss and sorrow..
Warmest Regards,
Patricia (Ippolito) Mattone & Frank D. Pedagno (formerly from Arverne, NY)

Dear Kathryn, Rosalie and Brian,
I was saddened to hear about dad. He was a kind person.
What I will remember most about him is how he would videotape all of our band “gigs” no matter the place or time.
It was clear you had a special relationship.
Our family sends our deepest condolences.

Brian is my oldest friend, since we were in 1st grade, and I spent a lot of time with his family through all the stages of my youth.
I remember Bill's enthusiasm and generosity, even just to a little kid: sitting in the den downstairs while he'd set out the *coolest thing I'd ever seen* — a NES (with the robot!), an Amiga, his collection of baseball cards. And later on, he'd help me to gather obscure and hard-to-find particulars from the maze of the internet. He was a reservoir of knowledge, and a giver, and I wish I'd had a better chance to say thank you.
My family sends its deepest condolences, and we have the Nasts in our thoughts.
Jesse

Rosalie, Brian & Kathy,
There are no words to express the sadness we feel at Bill’s passing.
We have so many happy memories with all of you from times spent together at holidays,
birthday celebrations and family gatherings over the years.
Rosalie, when you and I met working together at our first jobs after high school
who would have thought how our lives would be intertwined as a family forever
after. It was fate that I introduced you to Bill and that you introduced me to Joe.
I remember fondly double dating and then after we were married couples, hanging
out in each other's apartments. Then the children came along and we were finally
forced to be responsible adults. Those were the days...
Bill is in our thoughts as are all of you. He will be missed.
We love you,
Aunt Lorraine

You and Brian and Kathy are in our thoughts and prayers
We are heartbroken along with you.
May your happy memories of Bill bring you comfort during this time of tragic loss
We know Bill was a wonderful and kind husband and dad.
I love seeing all your family photos of good times on facebook.
.
Bob and I shall always fondly remember our happy years spent with Bill in Rockaway listening to music and “hanging out” the way teenagers do or did.
Those memories, spanning more than 60 years, include special moments like the 1967 Stella Maris Prom (Bill Diane Bob and I danced the night away), Bill’s participation in our wedding party(1969) and an unforgettable visit to the 1960s Worlds Fair.
More recently, we are so happy to have been part of Bill’s 70th Birthday Party and our Rockaway Reunions.
We hope to be at Bill’s funeral mass on Feb 12 to express our condolences in person
