Mr. DeZinna,
I will never forget you! My parents were lucky to have you as their friend. Thank you for always being so kind to my mom, after my dad passed away. I will miss seeing you in "town". The last time I saw you was in Walgreens and you gave my daughter Kate $5. She talks about that always. I hope you can catch up with my mom in heaven on all the good ole' times you had back in the day. Rest easy. You will be missed.
Jennifer O'Shea - Gallante

Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you all. As always, you all will be in our thoughts and prayers. We pray you all can find comfort in knowing he isn’t suffering, and may all of the fond memories help bring peace to your hearts at this most challenging time.
Uncle Al, you were the end of era, part of a generation whose ideals, work ethic, given word, and hand shakes were genuine, and a verbal “contract” was just as good, if not better than, a signature. Your generation was raised to acknowledge the importance of family, respect, dedication, the value of a dollar, chivalry, pastries on Sunday mornings, and the need for Sunday dinners after church. Like my father, baseball was your sport. You both played handball like champions too...kids today would still be scared to get on a court with either of you boys, individually and collectively. You both loved your Chevy’s, and “babied” them...all year round! You were both athletic and strong. Staying in shape came naturally, and you both loved to play sports (and run around) with the kids. Good old Brooklyn boys from the start, and although the boys moved out of Brooklyn to Long Island, the Brooklyn always stayed within the boys!
You had an incredible sense of humor (there was never a time that the room didn’t erupt with laughter when you and my father were in it...you two possessed an innate ability to connect with people, and your hearts were always kind and generous. When entering a gathering you gave a hug to every one, and also a “Ciao Bella” for all the ladies in the family, and then (right before departing) an “Italian” hand shake. Cousin Michele told me that she will always remember how you and my father gave “Italian” handshakes...and how long uncle Eddie would always throw in a pack of Dentyne gum with the $5 dollar bill!”
You were adored by every one who knew you.
Your signature choice of Captain’s Black tobacco for your pipe (in your zippered pouch) will resonate with me forever. Every time I smell the scent, I will continue to be reminded of you. I’ll always remember your love of music, dancing, your huskies (how they would “speak” to you), as well as the love of your car.
I have fond memories of the parties you had on Revere Avenue...whether it was in your basement during the winter months (especially Christmas Eve parties), or barbecues in the summer months running around the yard and swimming in the pool...it was always filled with laughter and fun.
I truly believe that our loved ones in heaven welcomed you home with open arms, along with a cold Bud, a pipe with a pouch of tobacco, as well as an Italian meal that was savored in quite the fashion...surrounded with good company and the absence of time...we never rushed a family meal, and we still don’t!
You were a gentle soul, and a true gentleman who will be missed immensely. I know you’ll be watching down on us all. In time, we’ll all come to find peace knowing that you didn’t suffer, and your memory will live on through those who love you.
Give my Dad, Grandma “Pup-O”, and Grandpa “Johnny” (I can still here Grandma calling him Johhhnae), along with the rest of our loved ones, kisses & hugs for us.
Riposari in pace Alberto (you cracked me up when you would say Alllbaaaer-to), you will always be loved and missed. Until we meet again...
Love,
Jeanne, Garth, Olivia, Logan, Gabriella, & Alexandra
XOXO

Dear Dad,
I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for your family. I remember admiring you far back when I was very young. You used to flip us around and we did sit ups in the living room, you would hold our feet and count. You let me style your hair different ways, chicken fights in the pool, flips there too! You made our young life exciting & fun. Remember “Rocky” at the drive in ! The out door concerts ! It was all a blast! You just loved to do so many things with us, I cherish them all. The way you were with us, loving, honest and firm with a gentle hand. You have been a role model for many, including me & Francesca & Daniella. You always understood, made us feel important just by listening and showing your deep concern. Oh, all the times you & Mom took us to Six flags Great Adventure Al was still in a stroller, so funny !! Oh and you always worried about your 74 Impalas vinyl top in the safari !
I loved that car too ! How could you do all that and work outside in all kinds of weather ? You were just nonstop . I sometimes couldn’t believe your endurance. There are so many wonderful memories I could go on and on! One way I will honor you will be by visiting Mom all that I can like I used to when they allow us to get in to see her. I will make sure she’s ok & tell her you love her.
Rest easy Dad, you did a fantastic job with everything.
You really did a lot in your life and touched a lot of lives and I appreciate everything. You are a rare man and I have been blessed to have you as my dad.
Til we meet again in Heaven.
All my love, your daughter Denise

To my Italian Gangsta Grandpa, you’ll never walk alone.
You taught me a lot in life. First on how a man should always treat their wife. You were always loyal, and old schooled. They don’t make men like you anymore. Till god did u part is when you left.
Second a whole lot about base ball, you always came to my softball dinners with me, you were my number one fan! And I know your my number one fan still looking over me as this week was hard for all of us. Your spirit got me through my surgery, the toughness of a bull. I’ll never forget the triple crown you asked me so many times... 1) runs batted in 2)batting average and 3) home run.
I’ll never forget that you were the person that taught me how to ride my two seater bike and let me drive around in small circles and fell off LOL. I’ll never forget all the Sunday mornings you brought over fresh pastries and crumb cake in the mornings to enjoy with your only two grand daughters.
I’ll never forget your unconditional love you showed for Daniella and I when home life was rough and I’ll never forget that you were the greatest influence on my life and will forever be. I love you so much grandpa, until we meet again, you’ll never walk alone Rest easy old soul, you deserve it

Rest in peace with all the angels, Uncle Albert! Aunt Jo, Uncle Johnny, Uncle Eddie, you are all together again. And my Mom, Buddy, Nanny, Marion, Patricia, so many others!
I will always remember you fondly. I remember how often you would come over and then chase me and say you were taking me to Long Island and not bringing me back.
Our memories will sustain us.
Fly free, Uncle Albert. With much love, the Rigons

I will always remember Uncle Al's warm hospitality ("Arlene, can I get you anything - have a beer!") whenever I showed up; I will always remember Uncle Al with a big smile. My son Jason remembers all the times Uncle Al ("Uncle Owl") used to play catch with him as a kid. Photos taken August 2013 during the month I was staying down the street with Denise. Uncle Al, you were so loved and you will be so missed. Prayers ...
