I would like to share some thoughts on my father before he is laid to rest on Monday December 28th 2020. As I was listening to the radio a song came on and brought me back in time to my younger days with my father. To me he was a giant and I was just a kid, I was always tryin to do everything he did. I can still remember every lesson he taught me growing up learning how to be, like my old man. He was a lion we were our fathers pride but I was defiant when he made me walk the line He knew how to lift me up, and when to let me fall Looking back, he always had a plan My old man. My old man feel the callous on his hands and dusty overalls My old man now I finally understand I have a lot to learn from my old man. I know one day we will meet again As he is looking down My old man I hope he is proud of who I am I tryin to fill the boots of my old man. My father was the hardest working man I know. He worked two jobs most of his adult life to provide for his family and to give us opportunities that he never had. My father was at every baseball game, football game and continued to do so for his grandchildren. He was all about his family and was inseparable from my mother until the day he was hospitalized. He was married to my mom for 61 years and my father was a powerful example of what it means to be a husband, father and grandfather. I am very proud to honor my father and I hope as he is looking down with his two brothers and his sister they are all smiling as they see the families all together again I am proud of my old man Love you dad until we meet again. Michael

With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved father, Michael Callahan who passed away this morning.
It hurts to think that you are not here anymore. Although I can’t help but smile with tears in my eyes to think of how we cherished each and every moment of our lives together when you were alive. I miss you, dad. As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering…
Did we remember to thank you enough
For all you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us…
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching us and leading us by your example,The value of hard work, good judgment,Courage and integrity?
We wonder if we ever thanked you
For the sacrifices you made.
To let us have the very best?
And for the simple things
Like laughter, smiles and times we shared?
If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did,
We’re thanking you now.
And we are hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us. There are special people in our lives
who never leave us….
Even after they are gone. I know that one day I will see you again. My love for you is strong. It’s as strong in death as it is in life. While I have to let go of you physically, emotionally I will never let you go Dad. I love you so deeply. You were an amazing father. A Great husband. A dutiful son. May God Rest Your Soul.
