Nicholas A Argiro Obituary
8/8/1943-11/18/2020
Nicholas Argiro (77) passed away on November 18, 2020. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Everyone who knew him described him as intelligent, loyal, extremely handy, full of wisdom and always encouraging and supportive towards his family.
He graduated Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY and attended Pratt College in Manhattan. Nicholas was a Construction/Project Manager for many of the biggest construction companies in Manhattan, including Morse Diesel and The LiRo Group. In retirement he enjoyed riding his golf cart, working on various home projects, was an avid shuffle board and card player and was an avid history buff. He was also President of the men’s club in his retirement community.
Nicholas was pre-deceased by his parents Dominick Argiro and Francis Barrese-Argiro and he leaves behind his loving wife RoseAnn, of 54 years of marriage and his three children Dominick, Patrick and Francine. He also leaves behind his son-in-law Joseph Tapp and daughter in law Kimberly Argiro (married to Dominick). He will forever miss his four grandchildren Alliyah, Joey, Katie and Hailey who were his pride and joy. Nicholas was formerly from Islip Terrace, NY and had retired to Pinellas Park, Florida with RoseAnn who was his best friend and lifelong love.
Nicholas Argiro was greatly loved god has him in his arms and we will forever have him in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Chapey’s Funeral Home 200 East Main Street East Islip, NY on Sunday November 22, 2020. Monday we will meet back at Chapey’s Funeral Home at 12pm with a burial at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island.

Uncle Nick:
I will never forget the great times I had at your house in Long Island (101 Otis Place). Me and Dominick gave you a run for your money for many years. Sorry about the hole in the pool, but glad you were able to fix it. I am sure that you are in a good place, where all the smart uncles go. You will be missed.
Your Nephew, Patrick.

Dear Roseann, Dominick, Patrick, Francine and Families,
Our entire family is so saddened by Nicks passing. He loved you all and was so proud of his family. Roseann, everyone could see how much he truly adored you.
He enjoyed and loved life and will be terribly missed by all who new him. He will always be in our hearts forever. Our loving prayers are with you all.
Dear Nick,
You've touched each of us in a special way. I will never forget you TRYING to teach Anita and I how to drive, little did you know what an adventure that would be! I also enjoyed our many conversations on politics and watching the first 2020 debate at our house, eating popcorn and shouting at the TV!
WE MISS AND LOVE YOU.
