Obituary

Nicholas A Argiro Obituary 8/8/1943-11/18/2020 Nicholas Argiro (77) passed away on November 18, 2020. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Everyone who knew him described him as intelligent, loyal, extremely handy, full of wisdom and always encouraging and supportive towards his family. He graduated Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY and attended Pratt College in Manhattan. Nicholas was a Construction/Project Manager for many of the biggest construction companies in Manhattan, including Morse Diesel and The LiRo Group. In retirement he enjoyed riding his golf cart, working on various home projects, was an avid shuffle board and card player and was an avid history buff. He was also President of the men’s club in his retirement community. Nicholas was pre-deceased by his parents Dominick Argiro and Francis Barrese-Argiro and he leaves behind his loving wife RoseAnn, of 54 years of marriage and his three children Dominick, Patrick and Francine. He also leaves behind his son-in-law Joseph Tapp and daughter in law Kimberly Argiro (married to Dominick). He will forever miss his four grandchildren Alliyah, Joey, Katie and Hailey who were his pride and joy. Nicholas was formerly from Islip Terrace, NY and had retired to Pinellas Park, Florida with RoseAnn who was his best friend and lifelong love. Nicholas Argiro was greatly loved god has him in his arms and we will forever have him in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to visit 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Chapey’s Funeral Home 200 East Main Street East Islip, NY on Sunday November 22, 2020. Monday we will meet back at Chapey’s Funeral Home at 12pm with a burial at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island.
