I will always remember the days at P.J.'s, in Farmingdale, where I live. I went there from mid 1967 to early 1971; it was a great place for singles to meet! Pete ran a great club, and the band was known as the Part Time Help. Knickerbocker Beer was 50 cents a bottle, and gin & orange juice drinks were 90 cents each!
I visited Pete once in Islip, when I was a Field Rep for the State Insurance Fund. This was in or around 1996. It was not a business visit. I was in the area and wanted to say "Hello". Pete remembered me, and was nice enough to let me come in, just before he went to lunch.
I just found out about his passing, or I might have come to the funeral service. Rest in Peace, Pete!
