My sincerest condolences to the Passerella family. I worked with John after 9/11 while at the Triborough Bridge. John was always a wealth of knowledge and knew his job as well as anyone could. Though always the tireless worker there was always time for a story that would leave you with a laugh or a smile. He will be sorely missed! God bless the Passerella family at this most difficult of times.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of John Passarella. John was one of the finest workers, Supervisor, Manager TBTA ever had.
For a short while I had the pleasure of working together with John as Wrecker Drivers at the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge.
Later we would work together at Triborough Maintenance when all Maintenance crews started work at Randall's Island. He in the electrical Crew and me in the Sign Shop and on the Vac Trucks. I also remember that John was chosen to work in solving Safety Training and Issues by the Union and Management and I had the chance to work with him on those important problems
John always was friendly and I never heard or heard of him treating or speaking to people harshly.
The passing of John M. Passarella is a great loss to the TBTA (MTA Bridges and Tunnels) community of workers and Union Members, both Active and Retired. We will miss him dearly.
In Sympathy to his extended family.

My sincerest condolences to Patty and the family. John was one of the nicest people to work with at TBTA. I have thought of him and Patty often in the years since my retirement. John was the friendliest of guys. You could always count on him for sincere, and amusing, conversation. May he rest in peace, and God bless Patty and the family.
