Dr. Chua was my childhood pediatrician. My mom brought me to him at 1 month old because it was customary for infants to be checked up on after 4 weeks in her native China. He asked "Why did you bring her here?" because I was in perfectly fine health. But he saw me anyways, and his wonderful wife - who we adored checking in with at the beginning of every visit - began my file.
I have fond memories waiting in his office watching cartoons in one of the cushioned retro orange chairs or contemplating the colorful wallpapers. My favorite wallpaper showed kids playing marbles and the named either the different types of marbles shown or strategies you could play.
Dr. Chua was a stern but deeply caring physician. His prescriptions always did the trick when I had a bad cough and he never beat around the bush when there was something to call attention to. He introduced us to ginger ale after a stomachache!! My family will miss him and his wife very much.

To the Family Of Dr Eugenio Chua, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry we all are about the most wonderful, caring and sincere doctor my family will ever have... He helped to care for our 4 boys from the time our first was born all the way until they were going off to college and then even later-lol!! He retired and thats when we stopped going to him!! We were actually speaking about him at dinner last night and one of my sons looked him up to see if he was still living in babylon and thats how we found out he passed.. Sooooo sorry we did not know earlier because all of us would have went to pay our respects... And one of my sons and I were actually at a doctor for him early friday morning-9;00 appt and definately would have gone... we actually had a conversation about him that morning!! I can tell you sooo many wonderful things he did for us. I needed to call him one time from Texas because one of the boys had a really bad stomach virus-he called me back!! Another time I called him from Disney in Florida-one of them had a severe earache-he called in a script to a local pharmacy in florida!! Another time he opened the office for us after we called about our college son from jersey-we picked him up and drove him right to the office with a extremely high fever.. What doctor gives you his house number? Unbeleivable and my boys will never ever forget him... All bummed when they found out last night..and they will all care for themselves with the instructions he gave us.... And Mrs Chua was just as wonderful...they were very special people and will never be forgotten and we will always remember to drink only small sips of " gingerale and eat only baked potato and banana" when we have a virus!! Thank you so much for teaching us Dr. Chua... Love Eugenia, Eddie, Eddie, Christopher, Danny and Michael

I extend my sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Chua. Dr. Chua was a legend in my extended family! He was the pediatrician for my three children as well as eleven of my nieces and nephews. He, as well as Mrs. Chua, guided us all through the ups and downs of our children’s lives. We trusted his opinions completely and still talk about, “ What would Dr. Chua recommend?” Both Dr. and Mrs. Chua were such kind, gentle souls who made a difference in so many lives. May he Rest In Peace with his beloved wife.
With deepest sympathy,
Patricia Colton

Dr. Eugene Chua was the President of Philippine Chinese Association of America (PCAA) from 2014 to 2015, and he guided us superbly. He was quick-witted, kind, generous, and always with a friendly smile. We enjoyed his President’s Addresses and Closing Remarks at the PCAA Awards Night and Dinner Dance events. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I have been a good friend with Gene Chua for many years; we cruised together, we dined together... and as members and officers in various social and professional organizations for many years as well.
Losing him is like losing a brother.
He is a better place now; we all should be happy for him.

Dad you will not be with us physically but you will always remain in our hearts forever...I cannot think of what to say but I came upon a poem and this speaks of everything...Here it goes:
As we look back over time we find ourselves wondering...Did we remember to thank you enough for all you have done
for us? For all the times you were by our sides..to help and support us...to celebrate our successes..to understand our
our problems and accept our defeats? Or teaching us by your example, the value of hard work, good judgment,
courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you for the sacrifices you made.. to let us have the very best?
and for the simple things like laughter, smiles, and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our gratitude enough
for all the things you did, we are thanking you now, and we are hoping you knew all along how much you meant to us Dad.
Goodnight Dad...Till we see you again in the resurrection morning.

Heartfelt sympathy to the family of Dr. Eugene Chua.
Eugene is an unpretentious, kind, and loving man. He is unassuming and has a sweet personality. He recently celebrated his birthday. In our conversation, he mentioned that when someone has reached the age of 80, that person is fully prepared and ready to journey towards a new life - a life that is eternal and hopeful and free -- and he is right. Rest in peace, Eugene.

During the short time that we became acquainted with Dr Eugene, we found him to be a gentle soft-spoken guy whom we heartily welcomed to our family group. He was a man of all seasons, a good dancer, smart conversationalist and funny some times. He was caring and empathetic to his patients, as he was respectful to his friends and colleagues. Dr Eugene was indeed true to his name, a "man of noble birth". - Erlin and Milet
