I am so very sorry to hear of Tom Costello’s passing. I have very early and fond childhood memories of him; at our house at Christmas, midnight mass, new year’s eve parties and of course our big group trips to Ridin Hy! I recall one particular sleigh ride on the frozen lake in which we all heard a pretty loud crack on the ice! I know my Brothers and Sister loved growing up with Joseph and Suzanne and Michael and that my parents Marie and Jack deeply valued Tom and Pearl’s friendship. I would like to extend the sincere condolences of the Hermann family to Pearl and to all of the Costello children and grandchildren. We had a wonderful time together and will never forget those moments. Love, Kathleen Hermann LoPiccolo

Our daughter Hannah, went to university with Tom’s granddaughter Melissa. Throughout their college years we met “Poppy Tom” many times. We were struck with how warm and close “Poppy Tom” was with Melissa and the entire Wagner family. He was particularly kind to our daughter Hannah.
Sending all our love and prayers.

I wanted to send my sincere condolences to the entire Costello Family. Your Tommy... Father...Grandfather...For the past 30 years I have had the privilege of seeing Tom every 3 months. The one thing I know is how very much he loved all of you and how proud he was of his entire family. He always talked of you all and his face would light up every time he spoke of you. I am so sad but I am so lucky to have known this wonderful kind man. I want to let Pearl, Suzanne, Chris, Melissa & Lindsey know how special you all are to me and how my heart goes out to you all. Also to the rest of the familyI have not met but heard so much about! I also want to include the Wagner family I know how close you all were. “Take your time, but hurry up”! With much ❤️to you all!!xo Susan

Just thinking of him pits a smile on my face. He always was happy to see me, even though I gave him regular coffee instead of decaf. I know he's up there laughing at that. I will miss walking into their apartment and him yelling "Lolo" with a big smile. He made you feel like part of the family and truly wanted to hear what was going on in your life and your family. He will be missed but always be with us. I hope I can carry on his caring personality. Hugs and prayers. Lois DeMonte

I love you, Uncle Tommy. I wonder where the time has gone, I wonder why certain things happen in life, but I never doubt that you loved us all from a full heart.
Camie and I were born at a time where "children should be seen and not heard." You saw us, you heard us, and I will be forever grateful. From your sweet, sly, smile when offering to make us a "rum and coke"...to your challenges to race us around the block after every dinner...I have been blessed for having you in my life.
Godspeed. Send me a postcard when things settle down!

Too many years have passed since I have seen your smiling face! I regret not seeing you before you left. I will always remember your laugh. I was dropped off everyday before school and you used to make us laugh so much with all your jokes. I never did get to pay him back that 50 cents. Maybe my dad can give it to you up in heaven... I am sure you two will enjoy great times with other great friends up there....
I know you will be shining down in your family's heart filling them with love always helping them find strength to move on without you....
Love to you guys Pearl, Suzanne and Chris and girls, Joseph and Michael. xoxox

Dear Tommy,
To the best dancing partner ever! Did I ever tell you that you danced better than John!!! You were always one of my favorites. Teach them how to dance up there and I will join you one day. I love you Tommy.
I have one vision of you and Sal I will never forget. After one of your parties everyone was going home. You guys weren't ready to end the party. You both sat on the floor of your patio. What comedy! You two stay out of trouble please.... xoxoxo

I have so many fond memories of Uncle Tommy it’s hard to narrow them down. One of the ones that was totally unforgettable was the day we went for a run. Nikki . Me and Uncle Tommy started out to run around the block. Nikki and I never looked behind us and guess who was waiting for us on the driveway .. yep it was Uncle Tommy who said to us what took you two so long..go to find out he never left the driveway..yes he won that race. Lol
I know you are in a far better place but this pain I have in my heart is real. Fly with the angels Uncle Tommy send us a sign when you can.
Love you always
Camie

I was blessed to have Uncle Tommy and Aunt Pearl in my life since before I was even born! Every holiday was made just a little more special getting to share it with them, Joseph, Suzanne and Michael.
I don't have many photos of us together, but here's one from June 26, 1993 where Aunt Pearl is dancing with my Dad (Daniel Seip, Jr.), and as you can see, I had the true pleasure of dancing with Uncle Tommy! I'm pretty sure my smile is as broad as his is in this picture.
Sending love to all.

Uncle Tommy was a kind, funny, and gentle man. He liked to have fun and enjoy life and his family
He will be missed but not forgotten, the smile, and kidding around he did make you forget any problems, if any, you were going through. He was just basically a great guy.
One Easter his son Joe and I met him at Kennedy airport where he worked, he managed a flight kitchen. I noticed on a cart that is usually used for loading items onto planes, dishware, but this was not any dishware it was real china that looked like it was getting ready to be boarded on a plane, but I wasn't sure if it was or was for a party, so I asked, "What airline gets that? and he said, "The Concord", then he smiled and picked up the phone and called to one of his friends, and he said, " Hey Charlie, pull the Concord up to the gate", and a big smile came over Joe and I faces, we were not only able to board the Concord, but get into the pilot seats. His friend flip the lights on, and the entire panel lit up, it was great, I loved it. Then I put my hand on the throttle just to get the feel and Uncle Tommy saw and yelled, " Don't touch anything!", we laughed and I said, " Just kidding".
Then he drove the company car around the service road of the runway showing Joe and I everything, Joe in the front seat and I in the back seat.
He stopped the car on the runway when crossing the service road to show Joe something and I looked to the right of us and noticed a Air France Cargo plane coming on the right side towards us, I said, "Uncle Tommy", he said, "Wait babe", in his calm voice, he was showing Joe something. Then I said "Uncle Tommy", my voice stating to quiver as the plane got closer, he said, "Wait a minute babe", then the Air France Cargo plane got even closer and they still were not aware this was happening, then I yelled, "Uncle Tommy!!" and he said, "What babe?", in his calm voice, and i said, "Look!", as I pointed to the plane coming for us, and the plane didn't look like it was stopping.
He looked and said, "Oh Sh..", and he pushed down on the accelerator and drove fast down the service road runway to clear the way for the plane and for us not getting run over. Joe just looked at him and didn't utter a word.
Ah, funny memories
I love you very much Uncle Tommy
I will miss you greatly
Love Patti
