For all the O'Shea siblings, grandchildren, and Gloria -
It might have been just a little over 11 years that your mom and I became friends, but the stories we shared and the memories we made during that short time, I know will stay with me forever!
From the very first night we sat together at the Knights of Columbus and found out that we came from the same neighborhood of Woodhaven, little by little we realized how much more we had in common too! It was a friendship that I'm proud to say became a very close one, with sharing memories of our past, the love of our grandchildren, fun times together, and even a few secrets along the way! But out of all the memories that I know I'll miss, are these....
Don't think I'll ever be able to enter LaFoccacia's again (or any restaurant) without hearing your mom's voice asking the waiter if he wanted her to show him her proof!
Don't think I'll ever enter the Knights of Columbus again without hearing her tell all (with her face lit up in pride and happiness) that she and your dad were the very first couple to have their wedding there!
Don't ever think that I'll be able to dance "The Twist" again, without hearing her tell me that she won a Twist contest many years ago!
And lastly, I don't ever think I'll get the picture out of my mind of her running outside her apt in the freezing cold carrying her buddie Tootles, so that she could show her Santa (and vice-versa) when he passed by just before Christmas, on his train!
All in all, the memories I hold are precious (as I feel our friendship was too) and I will cherish and miss them both for a long long time!
You all had one very beautiful mom, meemaw, and sister, and I am so very grateful that I was able to share her with all of you!
Rest In Peace my friend!

My mom was a very upbeat, positive, loving, and fun person to be around. Even though she faced some hardship and tough times throughout her life, she rarely breathed a word about it. She never complained and always made the best of the situation she was in. I’m so glad my daughters got to meet and love a truly genuine person who treated everyone equally, wherever she went. I’ll always remember her dancing, singing, cutting my girls’ hair, and smiling all the time. You were the best mom a son could ask for. I’m relieved that you found peace and comfort after your battle. I’ll love you forever and will strive to be half as positive as you were in your life. I pray that you’re reunited with dad, your parents, and your sister in heaven!
