Dearest Bob,
Happy Birthday in Heaven my dear brother. The world experienced a beautiful sunrise on August 9, 1943 and was darkened by your sunset on May 25, 2020. How blessed we all were by your presence. How much we all miss you smile, your sense of humor, your kindness, your caring, and your presence. We hold your precious memory close to our hearts and your name is always on our lips. Dear Bob,
Today marks the fourth anniversary of the day you were released from the pain and shackles of earthly existence, given your well earned wings, and called from on high to take your rightful place among the angels.
Although it broke our hearts to say goodbye to you, our gains were much greater than our losses, for you enriched our lives with indelible love, goodness, kindness, generosity, patience, understanding, humor and humanity. As long as we live, you will live too, and our memories of you will continue to propel us forward and guide us along the path of righteous living.
Thank you, Bob, for the legacy you left behind and for touching so many lives in so many ways. You will never be forgotten, and you will always be loved.
Please continue to walk beside Mary Ann and give her strength and comfort, and remain a guiding light to all the family and friends you left behind.

It's hard to believe it's 3 years since God called you to your eternal home. Your pain and suffering ended--you were now at peace.
With sadness and a broken heart I recall that day. You will never be forgotten, you're loved and missed more every day. Your life on earth was taken but your loving memories will be with all of us forever. No one can ever replace you. Your loving smile will always be with me as you are my guardian angel.

Dearest Bob,
Three years ago today, your life's breath was extinguished but your spirit will live forever in our hearts.
You are remembered. You are missed. You are loved.
"God's Garden" by Melissa Shreve
God looked around his garden and found an empty place
He then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest
With the help of His angels they flew you to your heavenly place
God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best
He knew you were suffering, He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well on Earth again
He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills too hard to climb
He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered “Peace be Thine”
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
Rest in Peace, dear brother.
Love,

We are now in June, another month has gone by and another Father's Day without you. It doesn't seem to get easier, you are thought about every day and remembered with love and fond memories. You will never be forgotten.
The talk this month at a birthday party was wondering what surprise special gift Papa would give to a special someone celebrating her special birthday. We reminisced how we would all sit around and anxiously wait to see the surprise you planned and when the gift was opened we would enjoy a big laugh together. You always had the best ideas and gifts. Your choice of wrapping paper was also always a big hit--these happy memories will never be forgotten. You will always be a part of all our celebrations.

Dear Bob,
Life goes on but you are still thought about, spoken of, loved and missed. Memories of you bring both tears and laughter; sorrow and joy.
It is so hard to believe that 21 months have gone by since you journeyed Heavenward. We know you didn't want to leave any more than we wanted to let you go, and hope you know you took part of our hearts with you when you left.
There will always be a void in our lives that no one else will ever fill. At the same time, there will always be joyful memories that linger like a soft refrain. We remember your voice, your smile, your gentleness, your thoughtfulness and your sense of humor . . . and we are grateful for each memory. Surely, "tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."
Miss you, dear brother. Please continue to watch over Mary Ann and guide her from afar.

Your smile, your caring ways, your wit, your love for life and your family, your gentleness, courageousness and love will always be a part of so many precious memories of you, Memories that will last a lifetime. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and I miss you and love you more and more with each passing day.

Despite your physical absence, you are ever present in our hearts and our lives. Each of us remembers you in our own special way. Each of us misses you deeply and loves you dearly. It has been 10 months since life as we knew it has changed. At that time there was a feeling of thankfulness that you were now pain free. God took your struggles and pain away when He called you home but there is a never ending emptiness of life without you. Some days are easier to face than others and some day time will help to heal a broken heart. I will love you and think of wonderful you all the days of my life.
With Spring comes new beginnings and new life on earth. I have happy memories of you in all the flowers and everything I see that you did all around. You always took pride in your work and did everything with so much love. I miss your love, gentleness and special smile. This Spring will be your 1st eternal life in heaven to celebrate Palm Sunday and Easter. May you be surrounded with love, family members and friends from above. You will always be remembered and missed by your family here on earth.

You now rest in eternal peace. The good you did still lingers. The love you gave lives on in our hearts. Your spirit surrounds us. Although you are physically gone, you will never be forgotten.

My Dearest Bob,
Merry 1st Christmas in Heaven my love. It's hard to believe you are no longer with us here on earth but you are always in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Seven months today my world fell apart and it is just as painful today as the day we had to say goodbye. God called you home so you could be at peace and I try to remember that and remind myself you are no longer suffering. For that I am grateful but the lose of you is overwhelming. The holidays are especially difficult to face without you, you always brought us so much joy. I look back and recall the happy times and see your smiling face and wish so much you were still here with us. Maybe some day my tears will lessen but in my heart I will always miss you and love you. The whole family misses you so much.
Have a blessed, peaceful, 1st Christmas in Heaven with Jesus, the angels and all the family that has passed on. Forever be my guardian angel from above and watch over me and your family.

Merry Christmas in heaven Dad. It isn’t quite Christmas without you. You are in our hearts and thoughts always and even more at this time of year. I hope you are looking down on us and can see how much we miss you. I am so glad that you pushed yourself to come and see the new tree we got last year. I think of that every time I look at the tree. I’m sorry there are no presents for you this year, but there are presents with your presence, like the photo books I made for Mom and Kate that is filled with memories of you and the “tape ball” display case to remind us of your sense of humor. You will always be with us and will never be forgotten. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

My Beloved Husband, Bob,
Another month has gone by. The tears I shed and the heartache and pain I feel each day is just as it was the day God called you home 6 months ago today. It's always there. I constantly think of you, all the memories and happy times we shared and think about so many other things we'll never get to do. The family misses you too, so very much. We speak of you so often and recall all the good times we had together.
Hon, you were always there for me, my rock and my strength. The gentle man who was always loving, caring and giving. Through all your pain you never complained and fought so hard for life. A cure was not to be, so God took you home to be pain free. As we face the holidays without you just know that you will never be forgotten. You will forever be in our hearts.
Be happy my love and may God and the angels watch over you as you watch over us. Happy Thanksgiving in heaven. I miss you immensely and will love you forever.
With Love Always,
Mary Ann

Dear Dad,
It is exactly 6 months since you were called to heaven, 5/25/2020 at 5:11AM. Your great suffering was ended that day and ours just began. Our hearts were broken and our world was turned upside down. There is nothing that can fill the void that you have left. There will truly be no other that could measure up to you. Not a day goes by when I don’t, speak of you or think of you. You had a tremendous amount of love for us, especially your Katiekakes. We were blessed to have had you in our lives for as long as we did. As Thanksgiving approaches and I think of you, I am thankful that you are no longer suffering and hope that you are at peace. I miss you immensely my dear father. Rest In Peace.
Love,
Dennis

Dear Bob,
It is hard to believe that six months have gone by since God whispered "Come to Me" and took you to your heavenly home to dwell among the angels.
Not a day goes by that we don't think about you or mention your name. Not a day goes by that we don't miss your presence. Not a day goes by that we don't shed tears because of your absence. And not a day goes by that we don't express gratitude for having had you in our lives. You were a blessing to your family and friends and now you are our Guardian Angel, protecting us from afar and keeping us safe. You will never truly be gone from us because you will forever remain alive in our thoughts and in our hearts.
Please continue to watch over Mary Ann and be her source of strength. Shelter her under your angel wings and bring her comfort and peace.
Love you and miss you my dear brother.

My Dearest Bob,
Another month has gone by without you. Five months ago today God called you home. My heart aches, it will forever be broken, and my tears could fill a river. I miss you so much, more and more each day. Everything I do and everywhere I look I have a memory of you. Sweet memories of you surround me. I treasure these memories and always will. It is just so hard to accept that you are not physically here with me. I just pray you are at peace with the angels and can watch over me from above. You know you were the love of my life and that will never change. Hon, rest in peace my dear husband.
Love forever,

Dear Bob,
It is now five months since God called you home and, in so doing, left a tremendous void in our lives, our hearts and our world. Not a day goes by without a thought of you. Memories of you bring tears as well as smiles and a deep sense of gratitude for having been blessed to have had you in our lives. You lived fully and well. You gave freely and loved deeply. You lived honestly and died courageously. Your spirit will always remain with us and you will live forever in our hearts.
Rest In Peace, dear brother, and now that you have earned your wings, please be Mary Ann’s guardian angel, protect her and keep her safe.

Dear Bob,
Today marks four months since you were taken from this world and transcended to the World to Come. Our loss is Heaven's gain but, while we are thankful your pain and suffering have ended, we remain devastated by the enormity of the loss of someone as uniquely special as you. In life, you touched so many lives in so many ways. In death, you broke the hearts of those you left behind. While we rejoice in the recollection of our precious memories of you, the hole in our hearts continues to pulse with sadness and longing. Although we still feel your presence, we continue to mourn your absence.
Rest in peace, dear brother. Please watch over and protect Mary Ann and be a source of blessing to Robbie, Dennis, Kate and the entire family.
Love you and miss you,

Dear Bob,
Three months ago today, God released you from your pain and suffering and called you home. Now, He has you in His keeping and we keep you in our hearts.
Not a day goes by without a thought of you or the mention of your name. We smile when we think about all the joy and laughter you added to our lives. We cry over the enormity of the void your death has left in our lives. We rejoice in the rich storehouse of loving memories you have left behind. We struggle to come to terms with the fact that you are no longer a physical presence in our world.
Rest in peace, dear brother. Shelter Mary Ann under your angel wings and raise her up from the depths of her sadness. Enfold her in your loving arms and let her feel and be comforted by your spiritual presence. Be a source of strength to Robbie and Dennis and a source of blessing to all of us who mourn your loss.

Dear Bob,
Happy Birthday, dear brother.
Seventy seven years ago today, God gave the world a very special gift, a gift that touched the lives and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all of us who knew and loved you.
On May 25, 2020, we were forced to return that gift to the Giver and our lives were changed forever. Although we miss you dearly, your memory fills our hearts to overflowing with love and gratitude. How blessed we all were to have had you in our lives. How enriched our lives were by your kindness, your helpfulness, your outstretched arms and your ready laughter.
Although our tears still flow, and our hearts still ache, the strength and dignity with which you fought your battle with cancer has given strength to all of us. The faith you showed, and the courage you displayed, now serve as our stepping stones as we navigate the path of life without you. And as we move forward in the months and years ahead. we will pay tribute to you by walking in your footsteps...living as you lived, loving as you loved, believing as you believed and leaving this world a better place as you so left this world.
You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten and you will forever remain "the wind beneath our wings."
We'll love you and miss you until we meet again.
Love,
John and Ro

Dear Burrows Family,
Bob was only our neighbor for a short while but in the time we got to know him, and the little glimpse of him we were lucky to get to know, we learned what a wonderful man he was. He was so friendly, welcoming and warm. It was clear that he was genuine, and that he had a heart of gold. He always waved to our son and said hi. He always stopped the car if he was driving past us as we were walking to just say hello and be kind. He gave our son a ball once when we were walking by, saying hello, and he really hardly knew him. He was the neighbor I would hope to see if I stepped outside because he was simply delightful. He was the kind of neighbor you hope to have.
As neighbors, we noticed how he would always be ready for Mary Ann to get home from work. He was always ready to greet her when she was coming home. I just thought that one tiny gesture of how he treated her probably symbolized their love as a whole and after reading a lot of what people are writing on here about what a wonderful couple they were and what wonderful parents they were, I know that I was accurate in thinking that gesture symbolized their love. How beautiful.
I wish the Burrows family peace and I hope Bob is fully restored.
We didn’t know Bob that long, but we certainly loved him in that short amount of time. We miss him already. I hope he knows how much we loved him.

He is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him only that he is gone, or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Bo was truly an exceptional man. He embodied everything & more that one could hope for in a person.
In a few words; Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, Humility, and Family only touch the tip of the ice, of how I would describe him.
As I told Dennis when he broke the sad news to me, “Bo always gave me such solid, sound advice. For which I will be forever grateful.

Dearest Bob,
Today we write the final chapter of your Life's Journal. With tear filled eyes, and broken hearts, we must now bid you a sad farewell. While we morn the man who is gone from our presence, we will always remember the love you gave, the laughter you brought, the strength you showed and the pure goodness that was so much a part of you.
As a devoted son, a cherished husband, a treasured father, a beloved grandfather, an adored brother and brother in law, a favorite uncle and a faithful friend, you touched so many lives, in so many ways and made the world a better place simply by being a part of it. You were always a model of virtue and strength and your abiding faith, that remained constant throughout your long, painful ordeal, served as an inspiration to us all. The pain of losing you is unspeakable. The joy of knowing you was immeasurable.
Goodbye my precious "brother." Death cannot kill that which never dies so you will live in my heart forever.
Much love, Ro

Peter & Bob were friends long before they were family.
Bob has always been in our lives, as a friend, a brother-in-law and Best Man at our wedding.
He was our eldest daughter's Godfather and a loving supportive, encouraging Uncle to both of our daughters.
He was funny, generous and a caring example of humanity to all who knew him.
He will always be in our hearts and will always be remembered with love and in our prayers,Peter & Cathie

Dear Mary Ann and family,
A light in the world was extinguished when Bob was called to his eternal home. Surely he now sits upon a heavenly throne for he was truly a king among men and a faithful servant of the Lord. Kind, gentle, hard working, loving and caring, with a keen sense of humor, and an unwavering devotion to his family, he exemplified all that is good in mankind . . . and all that we should strive to be.
Always willing to lend a helping hand, he gave from his heart and demanded nothing in return but earned the respect and love of everyone who knew him.
Some day our tears will dry but our warm and cherished memories of this very special man will live on in our hearts for as long as we live. Although we must now bid him an earthly goodbye, he will never be more than a heartbeat away.

I met my future father in law in a parking lot. I already knew that his son Dennis had a good sense of humor I learned that day that he got that sense of humor from his dad. In the beginning of our relationship Dennis’ truck broke down at my house three times. Dennis told everyone that it must have been me that caused this and without missing a beat when we got in dads car he acted as if the car wouldn’t start and said look what I did.
Dad was a wonderful man and we enjoyed picking on our hoarders every chance we got. He is my daughter’s Papa and she was so lucky to have him not many people get a Papa as wonderful as him. Love you and rest now you will live on in Dennis and Kate. Love you, Meredith

Dear Mary Ann and family,
A light in the world was extinguished when Bob was called to his eternal home. Surely he now sits upon a heavenly throne for he was truly a king among men and a faithful servant of the Lord. Kind, gentle, hard working, loving, and caring, with a keen sense of humor, and an unwavering devotion to his family, he exemplified all that is good in mankind . . . and all that we should strive to be.
With love and prayers, John and Ro
