Sheri, Sam, & Mr. Hellberg,
When I reflect on my childhood, there are so many memories including all of you. I have fond images of Hither Hills and hanging out in your backyard! I remember one morning after Sheri and I had a sleepover, Elaine walked into the kitchen with the CRAZIEST hairdo. We all laughed to the point of tears at her morning "look."
Your family will always hold a special place in my heart. I am thinking of you during this time and sending love your way!
Warmly,
Catherine Nobile

Dear Chris Sherri and Samantha.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. May God strengthen you during this most difficult time. She loved you with all her heart, mind, and soul . May your beautiful memories of her comfort you and bring a smile to your face.
I met Elaine when we were in hairdressing school. We have shared so many wonderful times together . We traveled to California and had some fun ski weekends in the Poconos. She became a fixture for dinners at our house. My dad used to jokingly say that dinner would cost her $0.25 cents .When my dad passed away she slipped a quarter in his pocket. She was one of my closest friends and was my maid of honor at my wedding and I at hers. Elaines fun personality and infectious laugh made our times together truly memorable. She fought a long hard battle with the heart of a champion to the very end. Rest in peace my beautiful friend. Until we meet again.

I loved meeting Elaine out because she always had something interesting to share and asked about every single member of my family. So many times, I'd find myself standing outside the library, at the supermarket or on the block looking for a pen to take down her advise on colleges, kids, everything. Her willingness to take the time to have a real conversation and genuine interest in sharing and listening made her one of my favorite people to bump into.
Chris, Sherilyn & Samantha, you were clearly her world. She was so proud of her girls and Chris, you were her strength. Our prayers are with you. We're so sorry you have to endure this sadness.

I am sorry to hear about Elaine, "Laniey" , as we called her back when we were just kids living on Alinda Ave. So many wonderful memories.
Always smiling and laughing, having fun.
It has been several years since I last saw her, when we talked she spoke of her husband and children and how her life was happy and full.
May Jeanne, Andrew and Arthur, her husband Chris, children and all her friends and family somehow find strength. My thoughts love and prayers are with you all.
So glad you were a part of my life. Rest in Peace.

Elaine shared her strength with many people, never complained always had a smile (even on her worst days) She will be missed, I’m grateful our paths crossed, one of my first yoga buddies! We had quite a few laughs, I’ll never forget OUR last Yoga class together and our group hug! I will always have that precious memory.
Peace and love to you, Chris and the rest of your family

Dear Chris, Sherilyn & Samantha,
Please know our love, thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Elaine fought such a long and tough battle with this disease. You all fought it together side-by-side, as such a loving and supportive family. Chris, you were her source of strength and encouragement helping her stay strong and positive throughout it all. You and the girls helped motivate her to overcome these obstacles every day. You encouraged and strengthened her life, and your positive energy helped her fulfill her dreams over these past years. We wish you peace to bring you comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to hold in your heart forever. We are here for you always! We love you!

We were very saddened to hear of your loss and our hearts and prayers are with your family.
Elaine was always so thoughtful, calm, kind and a good listener. When we got to see each other, it was always our daughters that we talked about and she was so very proud of her girls.

We are all deeply saddened to learn of Elaine's passing.
From what we knew of her (all from you Chris), she was a special person and an outstanding example of a real lady and mother in her own way, with a flawless character.
Her selfless giving over the years to her family, friends and community will be missed; her passing has, without doubt, a profound impact on all those who knew her.
Chris, Sherilyn and Samantha, we know how difficult it must be for you and the entire family. You are not alone in your grief. The almighty will look after the family, caring for you all in His very special way.
With affection and deep sympathy, we pray that God comfort you.
