To my dear cousins,
I am truly sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. One memory of her that has been emblazoned in me is when I hid behind the DeSetto's door where every one was looking for me and it was Ellen who found me. This is when I was four. I wish I could take all of your pain away. She will be missed and my sympathies go out to all of you.
Love,
Mary!

I'm so sorry to learn of Ellen's passing.
I'll always remember her as a spitfire who loved to laugh and jumped in to life with both feet. Look at that smile! And the twinkle in her eye (something the Steffan family all have), told you she was secretly plotting some fun.
She battled that cancer valiantly. I'm glad she was able to live her life during that time.
I can't imagine not being able to gather together to mourn, it adds a greater sense of loss. But when you do get together, I hope it brings the comfort you need as you grieve together.
With love,
Patty

Ellen, you will be missed on Willow Drive. I feel such an ache in my heart very time I walk by your house. I used to see you on my walks and we would chat. She always had a project she was working on. You were a fighter Ellen and a brave soul. Never heard you complain ever. Miss and love you. Linn and Pete Hoeltje
