As everyone captured so well, my Uncle Danny was always kind, generous, and quick-witted. He looked to make people feel welcome and share a laugh. I remember fondly summer days spent at Jones Beach, Christmas Eves in New Jersey, and visits to Uncle Jack in the Bronx. I loved to hear Danny and my dad tell stories about the old neighborhood and their trips together. Danny always remembered what is most important – his faith, family, and friends. We love and miss him!

Uncle Danny was a wonderful man. He always showed a genuine interest in whoever he met, had a great sense of humor, and let out an infectious laugh. He also loved to tell a good story, like about the legendary cross-country trip he took with my father. We will miss his warm presence, but can take comfort that he can now rest in peace.

DANNY HAS BEEN MY FRIEND FOR 57 YEARS. I LIVED WITH HIM WHEN TIMES WERE TOUGH BACK IN THE DAY. HE HAS BEEN A BEST FRIEND TO ME, AND WE SPENT MANY TIMES TOGETHER. DANNY WAS VERY DEPENDABLE, CARING, GENEROUS AND MY NUMBER ONE FAN WHEN I TOLD MY DUMB JOKES. I CAN TELL YOU WHERE HE IS GOING, TOO PARADISE. WHEN GOD CREATED MAN, IN DANNY HE CREATED A MASTER PIECE. I DO BELIEVE WE WILL MEET AGAIN SOON. UNTIL THEN, I WILL LOVE & MISS YOU.

The Daniel Sullivan I knew loved to tell a story, was quick to smile, had a huge sweet tooth and loved to spend time with his grandson Brian.
Saturdays were spent with Keith and Brian. Off to the beach, a zoo or Dumbo's Island, they loved to go places and do things together.
By 2019 Parkinson's Disease had impacted daily life to the point that Daniel moved permanently into an Assisted Living Residence. It has been a truly difficult time and the transition impacted everyone close to Daniel.
On Christmas Eve 2019 myself, Keith, Brian and Keith's mom Mary took Daniel out and visited RexCorp Plaza ( formerly EAB Plaza) in Uniondale, where it was wonderfully decorated inside and out for the Christmas Holidays.
Daniel happily posed for pictures and walked all over the complex many times outpacing the rest of us!
We ended up at Grand Stage Diner in East Meadow. Daniel enjoyed interacting with the waitress, ate a hearty meal and share his mushroom soup with Brian( who discovered he loves mushroom soup!)
If we thought that taking him out for the day was our gift to him, Daniel ultimately gave us a much better gift. Watching his eyes come alive again, seeing his joy, how he embraced life that day was the endurling gift he gave to each of us.
Rest in Peace, Daniel. I look forward to that day when we meet again and I can enjoy hearing one of your stories from heaven.

My Uncle Danny was a kind, generous man who deeply loved his family. He was always quick to smile and looked to laugh and make others laugh. You couldn't help but enjoy being around him. I have many fond memories of him (including going on a visit to the "old neighborhood" in the Bronx with him and my father where they showed us how they played stick-ball in the streets with a Spaldeen) and am grateful for the fine example he set for my siblings and me over the years. My deepest sympathies to Aunt Mary, Keith and Brian. - Dan Sullivan
