Obituary
Robert B. Schwartz
“Bob”
Robert Buchanan Schwartz, age 87, passed away on January 21, 2020. He was born on Long Island, New York, where he lived until enlisting in the U.S. Navy and served honorably from 1949 to 1951. His naval service put him on the path of his aviation career which spanned 60 years culminating in a lifetime of adventures, achievements and experiences for he and his family. He had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 30 years. His passion was golf and had been a member of Lost Lake Golf Club since 1993.
Bob was a man among men, a great human being who truly made the world a better place. He left such an impact on those who were in his life for a reason, for a season or for their entire life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Susan, who is and, will forever be, the love of his life.
He is also survived by sister, Dorothy "Dotty" Smith of Coram, NY; his three children, Virginia Cataldo of Jupiter, Florida; Robert T. Schwartz (Colleen) of West Babylon, New York; and Monica M. Aker (John) of Williamstown, New Jersey as well as eight grandchildren, Nick Cataldo, Sarah Fauvell, Alexis Cataldo, Kyle Fauvell, Amanda Schwartz, John Aker, Bobby Schwartz and Meghan Schwartz; two great grandsons, Carson and Cooper Cataldo; and neice, Nanci Silecchia of Albuquerque, NM; and nephew, Billy Morgan, of Lititz, PA
