Gerard Trupia, 41 years old, died on July 17,2019 at his home in Bellmore , New York from a Grand Mall Seizure attack. His viewing will be at Chapey Funeral Home in West Islip this Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral mass on Monday at 11:15 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Babylon,NY. Gerard Paul Trupia was born on October 26,1977 in Massapequa, NY. To Rosina and Gerard Trupia. He held a BA degree from St. Joseph’s College in Special Education and a Masters degree in Special Education from Adelphi University. He had a very gratifying and successful career as a independent Special Education Teacher/Therapist specializing in children with Autism. He married Jodi 2006. He was heavily involved in his work. His attribute was humor. He also loved fishing. His father paid this tribute to him. Jerry was one of the kindest and funniest people you could ever meet. He opened his home to many of his students over the years. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Jodi, three boys, Luke,Preston & Hudson, his parents,sister & brother-in-law, aunts,uncles,nephew and friends. Memorial donations will be greatly appreciated and will go to “Autism Speaks”.
