I just learned of Dr. Herbold's passing. I am so sorry for your loss! Dr. Herbold was so kind and caring. He took such good care of all my pets over the years. I don't think I will find anyone like him again to take care of my pets. My family and myself went to Dr. Herbold for over 40 years. God Bless your family. You must miss him terribly.

Brother, Bill, valiantly fought a terminal diagnosis for many months and was blessed to be greeted by his many human and animal friends for all of eternity on May 9, 2019. What a party and parade that must have started at the Pearly Gates! We know Bill is at peace and without pain in the hands of the Lord. Bill was a great mentor and brother setting the bar high for the rest of the family. We look forward to seeing all on the other side. Blessings to everyone,

So sorry to hear of Dr. Herbold's passing. He was such a wonderful vet and the West Islip community will miss him very much. I will never forget his kindness to me when my Dusty (German Shepherd) had come down with cancer. I made the decision to have her put down. I know that Doc knew it was a difficult decision and he said to me "take her home, she's not ready yet". It gave me a few more days with her. About a week later she was ready to go. I will never forget it. My condolences to the family. Doc was the best.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Herbold's passing. I had the pleasure of having him as a doctor for three of my dogs. Beau came to Dr. Herbold later in life and it was "Doc" who helped us with the difficult decision to let him go. My new babies Oliver and Bandit began their puppyhood with Doc and his wonderful staff. I always enjoyed our Thursday afternoon appointments and have missed the entire staff since the office closed. I was very sad to hear of Doc's crossing over to the rainbow bridge and my heart goes out to his family, friends an d all those like me who are grateful for his years of service and dedication to our beloved pets. God
Bless You All.

For just shy of 19 years, our dog had the pleasure to be under the care of Doc.... as did I have the pleasure to get to know Doc. Dr. Herbold was a very knowledgeable as well as compassionate Vet through our years needed. His office and staff were a welcoming atmosphere. There were laughs and there were tears during those visits and remembering Doc today, unfortunately has tears. Our Condolences to Diane and family. Lovingly and Respectfully, The DiOrio Family
