Schmidt- Walter Henry of Bay Shore, LI, on January 4, 2019.  Beloved husband of A.J. Rafter Schmidt (Anne).  Loving father of Cyndi Asch (John) John Schmidt(Lisa) Carol Downey (Rich),Casey Cousins (Michael), Maggie Schmidt and the late Chip Schmidt and Cathy Poe (Dale). Dear brother of Steven (Sandy) Schmidt. Brother in law to Kathryn Rafter (Francey Beall) and the late Susan Rafter. Cherished grandfather of eleven.  Loving uncle to  four nieces and seven great nieces and nephews. Communications Specialist United States Army, Retired District Manager from AXA/Equitable Insurance Companies, Honorary Member and  Former Commodore of The Babylon Yacht Club, Avid fisherman and diehard NY Giants fan and season ticket holder. Memorial Visitation at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. West Islip, NY. 11795 (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.).  Memorial Visiting Monday 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
