Obituary of Antoinette Torre

Antoinette Torre, wife of 57 years to Armando Torre, mother to Lorraine Strine and husband Dick Strine, and Carmel Marino and husband Christopher Marino, devoted grandmother to Cole, Derek Strine, and Aria Marino.

Antoinette was born in Newark, New Jersey in September 1928. Her parents, Carmina and Rocco were immigrants from Trevico, Avellino Italy. She had two older brothers, Michael and Ralph. The family eventually moved to Brooklyn and then Henry Street in Little Italy until finally coming to West Babylon, Long Island.

Antoinette worked as a designer dress maker in NYC. Ultimately, meeting her future husband, Armando, through a friend they had in common.

They married in the spring of 1961, settled in Brightwaters and had two daughters. Husband and wife worked side by side in their art, antique, and picture frame gallery well into their 80’s.

Antoinette enjoyed her children and grandchildren immensely.

They were the loves of her life.

They are very blessed to have had her in their lives.

She is missed every second of every day.
