Obituary of Sylvia Zawyrucha

Zawyrucha, Sylvia, of West Islip, LI, on December 3, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Stephen Zawyrucha. Devoted mother of Thomas (Susan) Zawyrucha and Janet Tillotson. Cherished grandmother of Kate, Heather, Rachel, Amy and Lauren and great grandmother of Jackson and Dominic. Dear sister of Trudy Matteson and the late Lottie Rzemek, Alfred Krochmal and Cazimier Krochmal. Sylvia served as a First Lieutenant in U.S. Army Nurse Corps in the European Theatre during World War II. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). A religious service will be held Friday 2:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service Saturday 12:30 PM at the Funeral Home.
