All,
My sincerest condolences. I feel like I have a guardian angel is looking over me now. I love you all and I loved your dad (husband, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle...) as well. Mr. Wolfe was a wonder...always aware of you even when you weren't aware he was watching...and listening. Then, at just the right moment, he would engage in a conversation that imparted some sage advice, knowledge, or affection. We are all lucky to have known him.
Much love,
Melissa

Dear Fran and Family -
Joe was a good man and friend. We had conversations over the years on many topics. They were always stimulating and I think we both loved them, even when we disagreed. He always kept us up to date on the family achievements when we met after track meets to eat. His love of you all showed through all the time. He could tell stories with the best of them and laughter was a common occurrence at our gatherings. As was his singing.
I will always remember how Joe treated my daughter, Amanda, each time they saw each other. At the Induction Dinner when we met outside his second question was "How's my girl?". With everything going on, he still asked about her. That meant so much then and still.
Joe will truly be missed by so many of us.

Dear Wolfe Family,
We shall always remember Joe for his kindness most of all. He was so very willing to help new track officials. He was truly discreet about any errors we might have had, especially with me in clerking. We enjoyed his stories and, of course< his beautiful voice. Whether he sang our national anthem at meets or "Danny Boy" we knew it would be a lovely rendition. He shall not be forgotten.

To the family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Joe Wolfe interviewed and hired me at the Ellenville School District Office in 1985. I of course was nervous at the interview but Mr. Wolfe's kind, outgoing, and caring demeanor, calmed me down. He continued to be supportive to me during his tenure at Ellenville. He will be warmly remembered.

Michele & I wish to share our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Fran and the entire Wolfe family at this time. Joe was a "class act"! Someone, I have always had a great deal of respect for. Our fondest memory of Joe was when he sang his heartfelt version of "Danny Boy" at the Hall of Fame dinner! He drew all of us to tears. I enjoyed being with him on and off during the last 40 years of our lives. Thank you, Fran, for being this wonderful man's life partner! He will be missed! But the memory of him will be with us forever!
