Obituary of Gaetana Quintiliani

Gaetana Quintiliani, age 101, died on November 6, 2018 following a short illness at the Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Gaetana was the loving mother of Carlo, mother-in-law of Lora, and grandmother of Michael and Raymond. She was pre-deceased by her husband Antonio in 2001.

Gaetana was born in Italy in 1917 to Antonio Amodio and Maria Cautilli. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her three sisters and three brothers.

Gaetana immigrated to the United States after her marriage in 1947, residing first in The Bronx until 1987, then residing in North Massapequa until the time of her passing.

An avid homemaker, Gaetana loved to cook, relished family gatherings and kept lifelong friendships both here and overseas.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 10:45 AM at St. James Church in Seaford with interment to follow alongside her beloved husband Antonio at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum in Farmingdale, NY.
