Leslie A. Mandala

July 27, 1936 - October 9, 2018

Mandala, Leslie A., (nee Walbridge), passed quietly on October 9, 2018 while surrounded by her loving daughters Caroline Bauerle, Pauline Mandala and Sarah Mandala. Born in St. Louis, MO, she attended St Bonaventure University where she met her husband of 48 years, Dr. Paul S. Mandala.  After graduation, Leslie was a research biologist and a biology teacher.  She and Paul married in 1966 and together travelled the world.  She devoted herself to raising her children in Bay Shore, New York. Leslie and Paul retired in Jupiter, Florida where they lived until his passing in 2014. Leslie is survived by her daughters, sons-in-law John Bauerle and Paul Young and her adoring grandchildren Juliana and Jack  Bauerle, Steven Pau lCzerwonka and Elliott Davis. A memorial visitation will be held at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy, West Islip, LI, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. A Religious service will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow beside her husband at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, LI.
