McSHERRY – Terence J. “Terry” passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, age 84 of Babylon, New York. Beloved husband of Maureen McSherry for 58 years. Devoted father of Kathleen Vanderveldt, Maureen Altieri (Peter), Eileen Rice (Danny), and Thomas McSherry. Loving grandfather “Poppy” of Leah Vanderveldt (Fabian Roche), Jessica Altieri, Kristen Altieri, Anna Rice, Chloe Rice, Olivia Rice, and Daniel Rice. Reposing at Chapey and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 2:00pm-4:30pm & 7:00pm-9:30pm; located at 1225 Montauk Highway, West Islip, NY 11795. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in memory of Terry on Friday, September 21 at 10:00am at St. Joseph RC Church; located at 39 North Carll Avenue, Babylon, New York.
