Dear Eileen and Family,
I was so touched by seeing all of your family yesterday. You and Jimmy brought the girls and Jimmy into the world with so much love in your hearts and you, your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren sent him home to God with the same love and devotion...amazing. It was truly wonderful reading and hearing the beautiful tributes to Jim. I send love to you all from me and my family.

Uncle Jimmy lived a full life. Being born during the Great Depression, growing up as a teenager during WWII, dealing with bullets flying over his head in the Korean War, working for the NYPD & FDNY, and raising seven kids. I can remember seeing all the shingles and other roofing equipment around his house from the second job that he worked to take care of his family. It must have been exhausting at times for him and Aunt Eileen. But he was a good husband and good father and I'm sure all his family felt safe and well taken care of with him in their lives. I moved away from Long Island with my family when I was 13, but it was always good to see and talk with Uncle Jimmy when I did see him. He was just a good guy.

Too All of my Great Jimmy/Aunt Eileen Cousins, ( Beth/Cathy/ Eileen/ Margaret/
Christine/ Mary/ Jimmy), I'm so sorry for Dad's passing. I love the picture you posted! It's fantastic Uncle Jim!!!! It's the guy I always knew, even on the later stages, even 2 weeks ago or so, I had a nice chat, we enjoyed the Leddy films, together, him seeing his Dad and Mom most, I back tracked those a lot, and he loved it ! He was a great warrior, in Korea, told all he got shot, but one of lucky ones, and it's true! I shared a lot of great memories with our family and his FDNY/USMC , tales, was special to me. A surprisingly knowledgeable man who knew so much!!! He was I know a Great Dad/Husband, and we will meet him again!!! Brian, a grateful nephew/friend . P.S. I can't leave w/o a positive vibe: When I asked Uncle Jim about stuff I read, the Irish legend stuff, and if Papa, our Grandpa knew, if the legend of the " Faires was true , to Uncle Jimmy, regarding Uncle Jim's recollection, he said, and only 5 months ago to me, that sure, Papa said " I don't believe in Faires" , but I know they are out there!!!!! Faith/Hope/God hope this passes!
