Leahy, John Patrick, “Jack”, of Bay Shore, LI, on August 5, 2018. Beloved husband of Josephine. Devoted father of Michael Leahy and Karen (Jason) Lindsey. Cherished grandfather of Cameron and Kiera. Loving son of the late Patrick and Mary Leahy. Dear brother of William Leahy, Patrick Leahy and the late Mary Murphy. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack was a retired police officer with the NYPD and a proud United States Coast Guard veteran. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Friday 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, LI. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bay Shore, LI. Visiting Wednesday & Thursday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s name may be made to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter, 42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY 10004.
