It is with a heavy heart that I write this note to a dear friend Jim and his children Jim, Debbie, Kevin and Billy. It is age, time and distance that keeps me from being with you at this time of sadness. We met on September 1, 1967 the day we moved in across the the street on Densfield Rd. We were neighbors for only 6 years and have been friends for 50. In Facebook terms that would be BFF’s best friends forever. Those were years of joy that I treasure and have fond memories of. Camping with Faulkner’s at Montauk and the upper Delaware, Pool parties at Wally & Peggy’s and the Labor Day block parties. Many times the party would end with everyone singing “Irene Good night”. There are stories too long to tell here. Irene and Joy trapped inside the old Ford inside the garage. The graffiti behind the brick wall in the living room. Ask grandpa Jim, I hope he remembers. Irene goes by many names the lest of all her birth name Alwine which means “Noble Friend”. Then there is FiFi her street name growing up in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City. The names most cherished Mom and Grandma. If ever her life story were to be written I suggest the title to be “From Hell’s Kitchen to Irene’s Kitchen.” In conclusion “Irene goodnight Rest In Peace”

Dear Jim, Jimmy Debbie, Kevin and Billy, My sincerest condolences on the loss of your wife and mother. I have so many fond memories of the times we shared. You were all the first family we met when we moved to West Babylon. We had many laughs together and I will always remember our coffee and chats over your kitchen table.
