George S. Worgul, Sr., 91

George (Doc) Worgul, Sr., 91, of Naples, FL passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at his home in Florida.  He was born on January 9, 1927 in Queens, NY to Tessie and Charles Worgul.  George is survived by nine children, George Worgul, Jr., Joanne Kudisch, Michael Worgul, Stephen Worgul, Susan Hoffman, Anthony Worgul, Anita Cosmo, Vincent Worgul and Donald Worgul, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Angelina (Rosa) Worgul and later by his wife Marian (Bonnes) Worgul.  As a young man, George was a pitcher for the NY Yankees and later a banker retiring as President of Columbia Savings & Loan Association.  George was a veteran, loved golf, ballroom dancing and traveling.  Visitation at Chapey & Sons Funeral Home in Bethpage, N.Y. will be on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00pm and 7:00-9:30pm.  Mass of Christian burial at St. James RC Church in Seaford, NY on Saturday, January 20th at 10:15am.  Burial to follow at St. Charles cemetey in Farmingdale, N.Y.  In Lieu of flowers donation can be made to:Guiding Eyes for the Blind” 611 Granite Springs Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 Guidingeyes.org 914-245-4024
