Obituary of Kenneth Michael Vaughan, Sr.

Vaughan, Kenneth Michael, Sr., of West Islip, LI, on November 15, 2017. Beloved husband of Georgina Vaughan. Beloved father of Kenneth M. (Gayle) Vaughan, Jr., Kristen Vaughan and Kerri (Chris) Fontaine. Grandpa of Luke, Kyle and Pop-Pop of Reed and Jack. Brother of Maureen Curatola, John Vaughan, Peter Vaughan and the late Tom Vaughan, Jr. and Terrence Vaughan. Kenneth was a valiant combat veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 in the  1/22 Regiment/4th Infantry Division during Viet Nam 1967. He was the recipient of Viet Nam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Conspicuous Service Cross, Purple Hearts and Army Commendation Medal. Kenneth was also a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local # 28 from 1970 until 1998. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home. Funeral Service Sunday at the Funeral Home. Visiting Saturday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
