Obituary of Caroline P. Basile

Carol Basile (93) of Old Bethpage NY passed away on 10/20/2024 after a short hospital stay.

Carol was born on 11/10/1930 in Metuchen N.J. and moved to Brooklyn at a young age.

She owned and operated The Yarn Garden in Plainview NY for approximately 50 years.

She was married to Giacomo Basile for 74 years and have 5 daughters. Rosalie Basile, Marie Mooers, Catherine Lombardo, Carol Lama and Diane Basile.

She had 5 grandchildren. Brandon, Nicole, Gina, Antone and Michael.

She has 6 great grandchildren.

She loved her family, loved to cook, Garden and could play the piano by ear.

She loved animals and fostered cats and kittens for many years.

She will be missed very much.  

Services will be held at Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road, Bethpage, NY.
