Obituary

Jacob “Jack” Khederian passed away on August 27, 2024 near his home in N. Massapequa, New York from complications of Alzheimer’s. Jack was born in the Bronx on March 28,1934 to Garabed and Mary Khederian both Armenian immigrants from Turkey. Beloved brother of the late Mary Varteresian, Anna Azizian, and Stepbrother to the late Jack Baronian. Jack proudly served his country in the Army during war time. September 11, 1960, Jack married his loving wife Lucille “Bunny” Berberian. Jack and Bunny have 3 children, Lisa, Kristine (Anthony) and Michael. At the age of 80 Jack became a grandfather for the first time to twin boys Jake and Dylan. He was greatly loved by all his nieces and nephews who referred to him as “Uncle Jackie” and “Action Jackson.” Jack worked as a lithographer and retired in his late 60’s. His favorite thing was spending time with family and cherished the time playing with his grandchildren. He was often found in the backyard taking care of his lawn or doing yard work and fixing/painting things around the house. Jack enjoyed watching baseball and his favorite team the Yankees. He was a huge fan of horse racing whether on TV, OTB or at Belmont. Most of all Jack was loved by everyone who met him for his kindness and warm nature. Jack loved to laugh and joke around and had a great sense of humor and an ease around people he met. He will be missed beyond words and be forever in our hearts until we meet again.
