Obituary

Anthony Ameranti, Jr. was well-loved by his family & friends, including his wife Eileen, children Anthony, Cecilia, Vikki, & Lisa, sons-in-law James, Darrin, & John, grandchildren Ally, Kaitlyn, & Dylan, and the friends made throughout his life including the new ones he made at the LI State Veteran’s Home. He had a strong faith in GOD, was a very hard worker, a persistent peacemaker, and freely sought to help anyone he encountered, even while he was suffering from dementia. His home away from home was the Skyline Casino in Vegas. Twenty years later his Vegas friends were still calling asking him to come back...he really enjoyed his time there... He liked western movies, top shelf Scotch, and had the appetite of a 5-year-old, which consisted of Cocoa Puffs cereal, cheesecake, cannolis, Oreos & Social Tea cookies. On his way to Heaven, he stopped at Rockville Centre to pick up his beloved niece Janet Sckipp...together they will be greeted by family and friends but most importantly by JESUS...lucky them!
