Obituary
Robert Craig Hahn, May 28, 1950 - June 1, 2023.
Bob Hahn passed away following a bicycle accident on June 1, 2023. It was a sudden and devastating loss for family and friends.
Bob was a gentle rebel who lived his life according to his values and passions, always emphasizing peace, family, and care of the world around him. He eschewed formalities and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Bob was an outdoor enthusiast who sailed and fished and lived by the water and was proud of having skied 70 days this winter in Vermont and Utah. He enjoyed sports, travel, and adventure – whether captaining his high-school soccer team, cycling across the United States, Canada, and Europe, teaching his grandkids to play soccer and basketball, or losing to Denise in tennis. He loved music, especially being a super-fan at Anais’ and Noah’s concerts and singing with family at Passover. Bob loved classic motorcycles, with a Velocette strategically placed in his Oak Beach living room, where the wood-paneled walls were filled with artwork from his parents, children, and grandchildren. He was usually monitoring the stock market and taking on and occasionally finishing random projects. Bob was a lifelong student of and occasional practitioner of philosophy, and as a consummate and trusted salesman, he would explain things in detail and, to be sure you understood, explain them again. He had a long career in car and motorcycle sales and took a turn as a stock broker, but most of all, he loved his family.
.
So many memories with his partner of 35 years, Denise Corby, and as a father figure to her children, Alex and Chris. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren and their families: Nicholas, Jessica (Salsbury), Colin and Julian Hahn; Noah, Anais (Mitchell), Ramona, and Rosetta Hahn; brother Steve and his wife Trim, brother Ric and his partner Tara, along with his beloved cousins and many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. A celebration of life will be held in early October in New Hampshire near “the cabin”. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to an organization of your choice dedicated to preserving the environment
