Obituary

Riedener—Irene, of West Islip, LI, on April 24, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Maximillian Riedener. Devoted mother of two daughters Jean P. (Frank) Bollbach and Renee M. (Scott) Burns. Cherished grandmother of five granddaughters, four great grandchildren. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Friday, 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Babylon, LI. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, LI. Visiting Thursday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s name may be made to Hospice Care Network, 99 Sunnyside Blvd., Woodbury, NY 11797 or West Islip Historical Society, PO box 231, West Islip, NY 11795. www.chapeyfamily.com
