Marie (Vera) Gander, at the age of 97, of Bethpage, NY on April 14, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Gander. Devoted mother of Donald and Richard. Fond mother-in-law of Eileen Roberto. Proud and cherished grandmother of Alexis Gander. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation is at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road, Bethpage, NY 11714. Visiting Wednesday 3-9:00 PM. Celebration of Liturgy of Christian Burial, St. Frances de Chantal R.C. Church, 1309 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh, NY Thursday 10:00 AM. Concluding with private cremation. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org
