Wanda M.F. Schukal, 71 died Monday, February 20 at her home in Grand Gorge, NY. A founding member and secretary of Sleepy Hollow Chimney Supply, Brentwood, NY. A prolific wood heat cook with big brown eyes and a smile always. A scholar of Native American turquoise jewelry. Born in Aix-En-Provence on October 16, 1951. Wanda is survived by husband Frederick G. Schukal, of 52 years of marriage. She also leaves three sisters, Veronique, Yvette, and Michele, a brother Bernard, and many loving nephews, nieces, and grand nieces. Graduated Deer Park High School 1970 as Wanda Olnowich. Wanda had a degree from Queens Community College. Wanda was an accomplished organic farmer, cofounding Grand Gorge Garlic and Maple. Funeral services entrusted to The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home. Visiting Friday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Cremation to follow privately. www.chapeyfamily.com
