COYNE- Robert A., age 82, of North Massapequa, New York, died November 19, 2022 after an 8 month battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan M.Coyne, of 59 years. Together they had five children, Linda (Kenneth Bohman), Kevin (Maureen), Christopher (Kim), Brian (Nicole) and James (Brooke). Cherished by 15 Grandchildren: Allison (Matthew), Lauren, Shannon, Matthew, Ryan, Colin, Grace, Jack, Noelle, Hope, Jillian, Brian ll, Donovan, Roxanna and Patrick. Adored by great granddaughter, Amelia. He also left behind his faithful cocker spaniel, Lucky. Robert was predeceased by his parents Patrick F. Coyne and Anne McClellan Coyne and his older brother Patrick J. Coyne. Dedicated 56 year parishioner at Saint James Parish in Seaford, New York. Proud member of the Monsignor Delaney Council #5983 Knights of Columbus where he served as Past Grand Knight, Former District Deputy and Past Faithful Navigator. Robert was an avid runner and shared his love of the sport, as a coach and coordinator of the CYO Track program at Saint James. Graduate of Sewanhaka High School and the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Robert worked over 50 years as an electrical engineer at Sperry, PRD, PCA and Telephonics Corporations.
