ZAUN, SR. – James Daniel, of Port Saint Lucie, FL, on August 23, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Monika and beloved partner of the late Miriam Woodward. Devoted father of Donna (Michael) Calabro and James (Kimberly) Zaun, Jr. Cherished PopPop of Samantha DePietro and cherished PopPop of Korrie Lynn and Matthew. Dear brother of Raymond. James was a proud Navy Veteran and the NY State Commander for the AMVETS in 2011 & 2012. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy., (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). A Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James’ loving memory to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Matching Gifts, 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017. Visiting Tuesday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Wednesday 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. www.chapeyfamily.com
