Obituary

Carol was born on February 11, 1938 to Muriel Euler. She spent much of her life in Brooklyn, NY with her mother and grandparents. In 1955 she met the love of her life and soulmate in Joseph Garthaffner. The two of them were married on November 9, 1957 and spent the next 54 years showing their children what the meaning of true love was. You could often find Carol sitting in her dining room every morning doing crossword puzzles and reading the paper with a cup of tea. In the evenings you would often find her watching a baseball game or the hallmark channel. Carol is proceeded in death by her devoted husband Joseph and her son James. She leaves behind her three children Chris (Lynnette), Kathy, and Meg. She was also a devoted Grandmother of Emily, Allyson and Dylan. To know Carol was to love her. She was the kind of person that you could just sit down and tell all your problems to. You never left Carol’s presence without a smile on your face. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends but they rejoice in the knowledge that she is reunited with her husband and son.
